Zebra (Photoneo) & Skeletex

WED morning

In this workshop, we will explore how cutting-edge 3D vision technologies are transforming industrial automation. Hosted by Photoneo, now part of Zebra Technologies, a global leader in 3D vision and robotics, the session will introduce participants to the company’s innovative product portfolio. For over a decade, Photoneo has empowered robots with eyes and a brain, enabling machines to not only observe the world but truly understand and interact with it.

We’ll provide a brief overview of our portfolio, including the fastest and most accurate 3D sensors on the market, and demonstrate Parallel Structured Light — the unique technology behind our flagship MotionCam-3D Color. We’ll also dive into Photoneo’s automation software suite, widely applied in industries such as automotive and logistics, demonstrating use cases like bin picking, depalletizing, delayering and multi-view scanning. A special segment by Martin Madaras from Skeletex Research will showcase a 3D digital twinning use case, illustrating how reconstructed environments can drive smarter operations.

The practical part of the workshop will focus on quality inspection — using both AI-driven and classical analytical methods — and volume measurement on a prepared dataset simulating moving objects on a conveyor belt. Whether you’re passionate about robotics, computer vision, or industrial applications of 3D data, this workshop will offer valuable insights and inspiration from the frontlines of innovation.

Photoneo, now part of Zebra Technologies, is redefining industrial automation with advanced 3D vision and robotic intelligence. Our industry-leading technology empowers businesses in automotive, logistics, e-commerce and other sectors to achieve fully intelligent dynamic automation, with precision, efficiency, and scalability. Photoneo is a leading provider of industrial 3D vision, AI-powered automation solutions, and robotic intelligence software. Since its foundation in 2013, the company’s mission has been to give vision and intelligence to robots all over the world so that they can see and understand. The goal is to automate monotonous and risky tasks by deploying vision-guided robots. Based on a patented 3D technology, Photoneo developed the world’s highest-resolution and highest-accuracy 3D camera, opening up new perspectives on automation.
